• Communicate nondefensively while explaining your points or ideas

• Identify the four communication styles (passive, aggressive, passive-aggressive, assertive) and their respective strengths and blind spots 
• Close communication gaps between the different styles  
• Add flexibility to your communication without compromising your identity

• Demonstrate respect, empathy, and sensitivity  
• Adapt to high and low rates of speech 
• Identify different communication volumes  
• Interpret gestures, facial expressions, intonations, posture, use of space, and dress
