This course prepares you for the APMG Change Management Foundation Exam, given on Day 4, and Practitioner Exam, given on Day 5. You learn good practice models to deliver effective change within your workplace, including approaches to achieve buy-in and handle continuous change.

This course is valuable for individuals wishing to achieve the APMG Change Management Certification. Anyone who must interact effectively with others to facilitate or direct change may find this course useful.

The APM Group (APMG) is the international exam and accreditation authority responsible for offering a suite of qualifications including ITIL®, PRINCE2® and MSP®. The APMG Change Management Certification recognises knowledge and experience in dealing with the theories of how change impacts, and is affected by, individuals, teams, organisations and leaders of change initiatives. Successful completion of the APMG Change Management Certification demonstrates an individual's solid understanding of managing and leading change.

Certification candidates and existing credential holders are responsible for reporting all Continuing Certification Requirements Program (CCR) activities to PMI. To report the completion of a Learning Tree course, you can use the Online PDU Resources System.

Yes, this course is eligible for 15 CPDs.

Previous change management experience is helpful but not required.

  • A minimum of 15 hours of pre-course reading is required with the following materials, which are sent three weeks in advance: "The Effective Change Manager's Handbook" and "The Learning Tree Pre-Course Study Guide."
  • Each course day requires two hours of home study afterward.

The APMG Change Management Foundation exam is taken on the fourth day of class. Passing the Foundation exam is required to take the Practitioner exam on the fifth and final day of class.
