Praxis is a free, digital framework which can help you and your organisation realise the intended benefits of projects, programmes and portfolios - keeping stakeholders happy. The Praxis Framework™ is a combination of four types of best practice guidance; Knowledge, Method, Competency and Capability and is the first framework to integrate projects, programmes and portfolios in a single guide.

This Praxis Foundation and Practitioner course has been designed to provide the principles, goals, tools and techniques in the Praxis Project, Programme and Portfolio Management (P3M) functions, an overview of the Praxis process models and an understanding of the interpersonal skills required of a P3 manager and how to apply and tailor the Praxis Management (P3M) functions and the interpersonal skills required of a P3 manager to the complexity of a given scenario.

You Will Learn How To 

  • Recognise the characteristics and context of a project and a programme and the benefits of effective project and programme management.
  • Apply goals and activities within the Praxis Frameworks process models and how they interface.
  • Understand the Importance and goals of interpersonal skills in the project and programme environment, and their recognised models.
  • Leverage relationships between the roles, documents, functions, techniques and processes.
  • Apply the roles, functions, techniques and processes to a project and programme scenario.
  • Create and assess project and programme documents for a given scenario.
  • Prepare for the Praxis Foundation and Practitioner exams
  • Utilise the Praxis Framework, the project and programme roles, documents and functions, and their use in the Praxis process models.

  • Exam Information

    • The course includes the following examinations:
      • Praxis Foundation exam:
        • 75 simple multiple-choice questions
        • 60 minutes duration
        • Closed book
        • 50% pass mark (38 marks out of 75)
      • Praxis Practitioner Exam:
        • Complex multiple-choice questions
        • 2 ½ hours duration
        • Open book (only the Praxis Framework can be referred to)
        • 50% pass mark (40 marks out of 80)
