Build the skills needed to become a high-performing team member of an Agile Release Train (ART)—and learn how to collaborate effectively with other teams—by becoming a SAFe® 6.0 Practitioner (SP Certification).

During this two-day SAFe® for Teams Training course, gain an in-depth understanding of the ART, how it delivers value, and what you can do to effectively perform your role using Scrum, Kanban, and XP. Learn how to write stories and break down features, plan and execute iterations, and plan Program Increments. Finally, learn about the continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps culture, how to effectively integrate with other teams in the program, and what it takes to continuously improve the train.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course, but we recommend you have completed Learning Tree course 1817, Leading SAFe® Certification Training, prior to this one.

Certification Information

  • Access to take the exam will be emailed to attendees from Scaled Agile directly.
    • Attendees have 30 days to take the exam.
    • The exam is web-based, closed book, and timed (90 minutes).
  • A score of 65% (35 out of 45) is needed to pass. Results are automatically received when exam is submitted. Printable certificates are available.
  • The first exam attempt is included as part of the course tuition if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion. Each retake attempt costs $50 USD.

SAFe® for Teams FAQs

A set of organization and workflow patterns that are intended to guide you in scaling lean and agile practices.

Learners can access their learning plans and exams after the instructor has marked their attendance about halfway through their class. The steps are as follows:

  • Login to the SAFe Community. If you do not remember your password, click the "Forgot Password" link to receive a reset email.
  • Select Learn > My Learning from the tabs.
  • Select "In Progress"
  • Select the class that you are looking for. You may have multiple In Progress.
  • The Exam is located at the bottom of the Learning Plan. You are required to complete all required items marked with red asterisks* before you can take the exam.

The program will also qualify for 16 PMI PDUs.

Here are the step-by-step instructions to claim your SAFe course Project Management Institute (PMI) PDUs

  • Follow this link to the 'New Class' page, and log into your PMI account: https://ccrs.pmi.org/claim/new/Class
  • NOTE: in order to claim PDUs you must have a certification with PMI.
  • Fill in the Provider as the organization that facilitated your training.
  • Type in the name of your course (i.e. "Leading SAFe"). If a list of existing courses appears, do not select one of the existing courses, as these are expired.
  • Enter the start and end date of your class.
  • Under the PDU's Claimed section, you should see the option to enter the number of credits. Please refer to Scaled Agile's website for details on how many credits to claim.
  • Submit your PDUs for approval at the bottom of the page.
  • Your claim for PDUs will then be reviewed and will appear on your Dashboard once approved.

First-time attendees of SAFe courses get a 1-year Scaled Agile membership with course attendance. For attendees taking their second course or more, membership will not be extended as a result of taking another course. Once your membership expires, you will have a few options to renew your membership to maintain your active certifications. You can check out those options at the SAFe Membership FAQ.

  • All are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience, as this course is intended for all members of an Agile Release Train.
  • Executives, Leaders, and Managers are encouraged to attend Leading SAFe® Certification Training.
